Meet

Dr. Melvin Thornton

Dr. Melvin Thornton II is our Reproductive Endocrinologist & Fertility Specialist. He is committed to compassionate, ethical, and personalized patient care for every intended parent. Dr. Thornton is recognized worldwide as one of the top experts in assisted reproduction. He is double board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine. He has a long-standing passion for teaching and mentoring future physicians, sharing his knowledge through board review lectures for residents in OB/GYN, Family Medicine, and Pediatrics.

As a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), Dr. Thornton has been helping to build families in New York and the Tri-state area for over 25 years.

Dr. Thornton is one of the world’s leading experts in egg donation and surrogacy and has done extensive research in fertility treatment for HIV+ couples. His patients describe him as a reassuring, caring, and personable physician.
